I stubbornly resisted its allure when first issued, in favor of 1/72ndscale subjects. Then, my eyesight began deteriorating, Hello, 1/48th and 1/32nd scale.At first glance, this kit is daunting. It's complexity and wealth of details are amazing. This kit is much more complicated than just add glue and shake the box.The 26-inch wing will force the use of glue clamps. I had spoken of the utility of glue clamps in the review of Testor's SR-71, but this kit demands them. Revell 1:144 Rocket Hero Saturn V Rocket Revell RMXS5088. Very Satisfied! Wrapped in plastic,the box was light for shipment.All the pieces were there and with alittle trimming-it fit and glued up well.I'm not a good painter. But even the instructions were very helpfull in spotting the right places to paint.It all turned out better than the first one I made and later lost in the early 70's.I'd suggest it for any Son(Daughter)and Father project.All though I'd also say that the Mother-Daughter(Son),Or-Space fans out there too-will find pride I've felt as I ventured into this handsom model(Saturn V Rocket).In fact! Revell 1:24 '70 Mustang Boss 429 3 'N 1 Revell RMXS2149. My 9 year old wanted to get into modeling I let him select this kit from the local hobby store--even though I knew it wasn't age appropriate. I was surprised he was able to do the major assembly pretty much himself after I got him started. This is a nice little kit. Lots of engine detail, nice chrome, and the street vs stock options were great.Beware this kit needs advanced paint to look good. Also there are some assembly that requires tricky glue up. Revell Boeing C-17 Globemaster III Revell RVLS4044. Sorry, I have to laugh at the reviews that state they thought it was 1/48 scale! Seriously, a 1/48 C-17 for $30? This is a 1/144 kit and it is huge! There is plenty of detail and it is pretty accurate to the real thing. It has a complete cargo bay with optional position doors. Just need some 1/144 equipment to load it up. By the way, as a real military load planner, this is one of the easiest aircraft to load, it'll haul just about anything and is very forgiving. The detail is fine for the scale, remember you won't see alot of smaller, real life details just because it would be ...
